I am honored that in each of the 3 previous elections, you, the voters of southern Arizona, have sent me to Phoenix to represent your interests in the Arizona State Senate.

I am proud to be an advocate for rural Arizona. I serve on the Natural Resources Committee and Agriculture Committees. The challenges we face in southern Arizona are much different than they are in the urban communities. For example, I have seen firsthand the impact illegal immigration is having on our communities. That is why I successfully passed legislation calling on Congress to enact comprehensive immigration reform, including a legal worker program, immediately.
